Judging Criteria
Essays will be assigned scores on a scale of 1 (Lowest Score) to 100 (Highest Score) based on the following criteria:
  • Creativity/Uniqueness of idea (WORTH 30 points)
    • Does the entrant’s essay show originality? (10 points)
    • Are unique elements present that allow this essay to stand out? (10 points)
    • Is creativity consistently expressed in the details of the analysis? (10 points)
  • Flow/Organization (WORTH 30 points)
    • Does the entrant’s essay flow well? (10 points)
    • Is the information organized in a logical manner and to the point? (10 points)
    • Is there a clear introduction and conclusion to the essay? (10 points)
  • Functionality/Professional appeal (WORTH 20 points)
    • Are the entrant’s suggestions feasible? (10 points)
    • Would they be viable considering the current state of the industry? (10 points)
  • Free of grammatical/Typographical errors (WORTH 20 points)
    • Is the essay structurally and grammatically sound? (10 points)
    • Does the essay include minimal typographical errors (e.g. spelling)? (10 points)
