Syngenta Soybean Fungicide Application Timing and Rates for Asian Rust:Preventive Application (before rust is present in the field)A preventive application is recommended as the disease travels quickly and is often difficult to detect. Preventive is defined as 0- 2% incidence* of rust in lower canopy; 0% in mid or upper canopy. A preventive application generally should be made at R1/R2.
- Quadris @ 4 oz/A + Tilt @ 4 oz/A PLUS a COC (1% by ground, may be higher % by air. Follow local recommendation).
- A second application 14-21 days later may be needed if conditions remain conducive to disease. Use same products/rates as listed above.
Early Curative Application If soybean rust is present, triazoles are a better curative choice than strobilurins. Early curative is defined as 2-10% incidence* of disease in lower canopy; 0% in mide or upper canopy.
- Quadris @ 6.oz/A + Tilt @ 6 oz/A PLUS a COC (1% by ground, may be higher % by air. Follow local recommendation).
