Get the Facts about Root Protection and Yield
So what drives yield? It's the total genetic package - elite germplasm, high-performance traits and a technology integration process that brings them together without sacrificing yield.
In a word, it's Agrisure®.
High-Performance Traits. Elite Genetics. Advanced Technology Integration.

Get the facts:
1. Rootworm traits don't make your yield - they protect your yield.
- 2007 Iowa State University (ISU) corn rootworm trials1 show there is not a clear correlation between root ratings and yield.

2. Not all trait technologies are integrated equally.
- Adding a trait does not always have a positive impact on yield. Adding Herculex® RW to Herculex I actually decreased yield performance in 2007 ISU corn rootworm trials2.
- When Syngenta breeders added the Agrisure RW trait to hybrids with Agrisure CB/LL, they actually increased yields an average of 3.7 bu/A in the absence of rootworm pressure3.
- Adding Herculex RW to Herculex I hybrids decreased yields an average of 7.8 bu/A from the same hybrid without Herculex RW4.

3. Get Agrisure RW hybrids. Get results.
- Agrisure CB/LL/RW hybrids beat Pioneer brand Herculex XTRA hybrids by an average of 5.4 bu/A at 90 locations5 - including leading Pioneer hybrids 34A20, 36B05 and 34A18.

3 2007 Syngenta grower strip trial comparisons. Hybrids compared were within three days RM of one another.
4 All comparisons from 2007 Syngenta strip trials. Yield increase/decreases are based on comparisons between Agrisure CB/LL hybrids and Agrisure CB/LL/RW hybrids of similar genetics. Herculex comparisons consisted of 26 strip trial comparisons between 34A16 Herculex I and 34A18 Herculex XTRA hybrids.
5 Average yield increase when comparing isoline hybrids at 133 grower strip trials comparisons in 2007 where rootworm feeding was not present in untreated checks.
