Get to the Root of Crop Productivity

While they may be “out of sight, out of mind,” root systems are vital to maximizing crop health and performance.

This past March at Commodity Classic, a panel of university and Syngenta experts hosted a forum on the importance of root health. During the session, panelists explained how to identify attributes of healthy roots, issues that impact root performance, and how to ensure a healthy root system for maximum crop performance and yield.

Below is an excerpt from the panel, featuring Palle Pedersen, Ph.D., seedcare technology manager at Syngenta. In this clip, he discusses the release of a new fungicide active ingredient, called sedaxane. It will be able to recover and try to minimize some of the effects of diseases that plague soybean root systems, specifically, Rhizoctonia.
